If you’ve experienced football training before, we’re sure that you’ve done toe taps at some point in your life. We’ve mixed it up a little, incorporating a square and 3 balls on 3 sides of the square, leaving one side free. The object is to move one of the balls using the sole of your football with a toe tap technique to the empty side of the square.
This drill is great for fitness, improving speed and developing leg strength. It also improves ball control and practises ball manipulation. Using the sole of the foot is a paramount part of football, this drill gives you a large amount of touches on the ball, using that part of the foot. This practise allows you to get used to using this part of the foot, ready to replicate in a match situation.
